A tree I see
HE told me to leave it be
Every day it had been taunting me
Then the serpent came and told me
I could eat from the forbidden tree
I went to Adam filled with glee
Holding an apple I promised we’d both be free
Biting into it all good thoughts began to flee
I was bare from head to knee
And so was he
The sky parted, light shined down on me
HE who told me to leave the tree be
Came down and punished me
The apple was the key
That started the idea of the Birds and the Bees
With the price of my sin the world’s population came to be
I am deeply sorry
Sincerely, Eve.
